In April, STC awarded D. Wilson Construction Company 3 Construction Manager At-Risk projects which include the Nursing & Allied Health Center which will consist of a major campus expansion, hospital simulation center and new library. The Pecan Campus will include a North Academic Classroom building, South Academic Classroom building, STEM building, and a multi-purpose area for student support services and activities. The third project, the Starr County Campus which will encompass the construction of a health professions and science building with classrooms, labs which will offer nursing and allied health programs and STEM. Construction will also consist of expanding the technical workforce training facility, new library and renovations to an existing area into a Cultural Arts Center, expansion of student services, advising, admissions, financial services and the student activities buildings.
